Here I sit so broken hearted,
came to ......
Well you know the rest.
I feel I have a lot on my plate and can only make scratch marks on the surface. In middle of a major change and still have to go about my already rich daily life. I sometimes wish I could just say, "Screw it!" and go to Disneyland. But that is how I got here in the first place.
Like my dad said yesterday, "I was thinking about procrastinating, but I decdided to wait until tomorrow."
Tomorrow is here and I have to face the music and plow through.

Did you say ASS-BURGERS??
It is official. Carved in stone. Crystallized. My son has Asperger's Syndrome, found in the ASD (autism spectrum disorder). This is something I suspected since Kindergarten, KNEW since second grade and FINALLY had CORRECTLY diagnosed yesterday.
He is a brilliant child but is a social retard. No, seriously, he marks in the mental retardation in the social aspect, but he is NOT mentally retarded. His IQ is 121. He is brilliant, but just can't tell you (or brag about it!!) because he doesn't know how or just simply can't.
Again, I KNEW he suffered from this disease, but sat by letting him ride on an ADHD/Social Anxiety diagnosis. So, I am a bundle of emotions right now. I feel guilty for not pushing and getting him the right care and help he needs FOUR years ago. I trusted his therapist and wasted all this time, not getting my boy what he needs.
Fortunately, he has had some WONDERFUL, CARING, SUPPORTIVE, UNDERSTANDING teachers. All of them have worked with my son and me, academically and him, socially.
But what relieves me the most, is my husband's understanding of our son's condition. It is NOT our son's fault he does what he does. He just is.
I am glad I have found the help we need as he will be going to Jr. High next year. Not only will the classwork and homework get more difficult, the kids get more mean. (God, I HATED SCHOOL) The diagnostician told us about a boy who was tormented and peed on in the locker room. That just crushes me, thinking all of the horrible things that has happened to other kids and what is in store for my boy.

Halloweentime at Disneyland
I love Love LOVE this time of year. The weather cools down. The Halloween decorations are displayed. I guess it is because I have an October birthday, that I ADORE Halloween. Maybe I am just "sick." I love the trickery, the spookiness, the ghouls, the silliness, the candy, the monsters, the costumes, Los Dios de los Muertos, Samhain,,,,,,
I enjoy Disney's decor at the resort. *However, I HATE the Jack Skellington Haunted Mansion. Before you go hating me, I am an HM purist. They take away MY Mansion almost half of the year. One month closure for revamping the attraction. Three months of Nightmare Before Christmas. One more month for returning its original state. I appreciate Jack and NBC and it was cute the first few years, but it is getting old and I want my Haunted Mansion to stay intact.*
I rode the Galaxy Ghost Space Mountain. It is okay. I imagine it would be scary for my eight-year-old, but my 11-year-old boy was unfazed. Either he is maturing or it is lame. I had the opportunity to ride it three times; in the front seat, the third row and the last row. The best experience was in the third row. The front seat is too far ahead of the effects and the last row is trying to catch up. I bet anywhere in the middle would be best for the visual. For those who like Knott's Scary Farm and the like, it is mildly amusing.
What would be interesting is to gore up the Big Thunder Mountain!! Make it creepy and scary!
