Reefer Madness

This is my new refrigerator. Our old cold chest is almost 10 years old and no longer stays cold. Unless you don't open the doors. Then how do you get the food out?

Anyway, this new fridge has a bottom freezer. I like the wide cold compartment instead of the narrow and deep side-by-side kind. It doesn't have an ice maker, but who likes tap water anyway? I'll just make my own or buy a bag of ice. It is probably cheaper by the bag anyway.

I am so polite - I'm the elevator man

Ever have recurring dreams? Maybe I should rephrase that. Ever have recurring themes in dreams?

One of the most recurring themes I encounter are elevators. Mostly set in hotels. They can be any style, from any era. Sometimes they are accompanied by a "hidden" back stairwell. Some of these elevators are in high tech office or industrial buildings, almost sci-fi. I don't understand why I dream so frequently of lifts or what it symbolizes.

Another recurring theme is water. Almost any body of water! The ocean, a stream, river, lake, pond, flood. You name it, I have dreamt about it. Sometimes I was able to breathe under water. Some people fly, I can inhale water. I haven't had a mermaid induced nocturnal image in quite awhile, though.

Finally, the "being late to work dream." I contantly encounter the tardiness nightmares. I am late for work, I don't have the right uniform, it is getting later and later and I can't/don't call my employer to let them know that I am delayed or possibly not going to make it in to work. I have to ride a motorcycle, which I don't know how to operate. Or worse, a bicycle on the Los Angeles Freeway System. I know, insane.
